[O R A N G E J U I C E]
Tonight, I’ll write about you
Pour me some of that orange juice
Never knew what it could do
But it’s great to try something new
On the shelf with all the glasses
Of vinegar, alcohol, and acids
Now stands that sweet orange taste
I promise you it won’t go to waste
It drowns out the bitter tones
This juice is one of the better ones
Even if this is the only bottle of it I own
Taking a sip makes me feel at home
The door closes and the lights go out
But it’s okay, I’ll smile and shout
„Look at me, look where I’ve been!“
Finally opening the curtains, letting the light in
A friend passed me the bottle as a little gift
Probably thought nothing of it
They don’t know it’s my reason
to open the curtains again tomorrow
For now, I’ll rest
With the sweet taste on my tongue
This glass is for you
Because you poured me that orange juice
